Savvice Corporation values the data privacy of its employees and their dependents, and its applicants. This notice provides information on how we handle your personal data. It also covers your data privacy rights and how you can exercise them.

Personal Data Collected and Manner of Collection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the provisions outlined in Section 12 and Section 13 of the R.A. 10173 otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA). We collect the following personal data from you when you manually or electronically submit your job application, during your employment, and after separating from Savvice Corporation:

  • Documents you submit when you apply for a job such as information contained in your resume, curriculum vitae, and application form (e.g., name, address, contact number, email address, date of birth, place of birth, civil status, citizenship, religion, educational background, licenses and certificates, employment background, character references, emergency contact).
  • Information we collect when processing your application, such as test results, employment offer, results of character investigation, and pre-employment medical assessment (psychological, drug test, etc.).
  • Information we collect and maintain during your employment in Savvice Corporation, such as your personal data, addresses, education records, professional licenses and permits, and government-issued identification information; payroll information, including but not limited to government mandated and third party remittances like SSS, PhilHhealth, and Pag-Iibig membership and contributions, taxes, bank account information; wages; entitlements and benefits; medical and dental care records including your dependents and beneficiaries; emergency contact information; training and certifications; performance evaluation; sanctions; and employment changes / work history
  • Information we retain in accordance with law after your separation from service, such as but not limited to pension information, retiree eligibilities and other benefits, bank account information, addresses, beneficiaries, and emergency contact information.
  • Information we may record during your employment, strictly limited to photos and videos of you in the workplace or in other Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) group programs that contain your image or voice.
Purposes of Collected Personal Data
  • To process your application for employment. We process your application documents to assess your eligibility for employment, including background checks to verify your qualifications, employment history, and character references. It is your responsibility to obtain consent from your references before providing their personal data to us.
  • Fulfillment of a contract between employer and employee. This includes computation and payment of salaries and other benefits, determination of career movements, facilitation of work-related requirements, and outsourcing of human resource management functions.
  • To comply with legal obligations. We process your personal data in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements of government agencies (e.g., for, labor, taxation).
  • To ensure welfare, safety, and security at work. We process your data for the purpose of developing health and wellness programs, including the provision of medical benefits, conducting employee engagement activities, managing user accounts for personalized work credentials and access rights, and ensuring overall productivity, safety, and security in the workplace and all business operations.
  • Post-employment. We process your data for your severance pay, pension, retirement benefits or other post-employment benefits.
  • For Savvice Corporation publications. We may process your images, voice, or videos that may have been captured during your employment with Savvice Corporation and/or during MPTC group wide activities to advertise the culture and work environment in Savvice.
Storage and Transmission of Personal Data

We store and transmit personal data securely using organizational, physical, and technical security measures based on widely accepted data privacy and information security standards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your personal data.

While the majority of Human Resources processes are handled internally, certain employee information is processed using a third-party attendance system.

Third Party Transfer

We may share or disclose your personal data with specific entities for essential purposes. Here are who we share your information with and why:

  1. Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation and its Subsidiaries (MPT Group). The MPT Group HR sources or screens some positions or roles for Savvice Corporation and discloses your application to the appropriate personnel of the MPT Group for interviews.
  2. MPT Mobility Corporation and Metro Pacific Tollways Digital, Inc. To create and maintain user accounts that serve as your personalized work credentials and access rights; and to facilitate and maintain overall productivity, safety, and security in the workplace and in all business operations.
  3. Other Third Parties and Business Partners. We will only disclose the necessary personal information to fulfill the company’s obligations under contracts with third parties.
Retention and Disposal

For Applicants:

Your personal data will only be retained only for as long as necessary in relation to the purposes provided above, or for a maximum of two years.

For Employees and Separated Employees:

Your Personal Data will be retained by Savvice Corporation only for as long as necessary:

  1. In relation to the purposes provided above, or when the processing relevant to the purpose has been completed or terminated.
  2. For establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
  3. For other statutory or regulatory requirements that Savvice Corporation is subject to.

Your personal data shall be disposed of in a secure manner when no longer needed.

Under Section 16 of the DPA of 2012, your rights as a data subject are as follows:

When Do We Need Your Consent

We respect your right to be informed, ensuring that this Privacy Notice is presented to you before or promptly after the collection of your personal data. In the course of processing your data for the purposes discussed herein and those closely related, we strive to create privacy notices that serve as reminders of how we collect, use, disclose, and process your personal data, in accordance with the details outlined in this Statement.

For any purposes not explicitly stated in this Privacy Notice, those not readily inferred, or for purposes for processing personal data that requires your consent, we will make every reasonable effort to seek your permission. This may involve presenting a separate consent form that may require your signature or feature a button for you to click as an indication of your consent.

Updates or Changes to the Privacy Notice

Savvice Corporation reserves the right to update or revise this privacy notice as required by amendments to the DPA, its IRR, or issuances of the NPC. Previous versions of the privacy notice will be retained and provided to data subjects.
